Saving the planet starts with what we keep.Every repaired, refreshed, repurposed, recovered, restored, resold, or recycled item keeps useful material in circulation and reduces the demand for another newly manufactured replacement.

Reduce

Pause before buying brand-new when a practical alternative will do the job.

Reuse

Keep solid cabinets, fixtures, furnishings, and goods working longer.

Recycle

Give useful goods and materials another life instead of sending them to a landfill.

How the circular economy works

From a straight line to a useful loop.

A traditional take–make–throw-away system ends at the landfill. A circular economy looks for the next useful life at every stage—using less, caring for what already exists, and recovering materials only when an item can no longer be reused.

The old pathTake materials → make a product → use it → throw it away
1. Choose wisely

Buy only what is needed, and favor durable or secondhand options.

2. Use it longer

Care for useful goods, fixtures, and materials so they last.

3. Repair or refresh

Fix what is broken and update what is worn instead of replacing it.

4. Reuse or resell

Pass usable items along so someone else can put them to work.

5. Recover materials

Salvage parts and recycle materials when reuse is no longer practical.

6. Begin again

Recovered value returns to circulation instead of becoming waste.

The goal is simple: keep products and materials useful for as long as possible.

Don’t replace. Refresh.

Preserve the useful structure, change what is worn or dated, and avoid an unnecessary full replacement.

Refacing can cost a fraction of full replacement.

REFACINGabout $6,500–$7,000Typical national average
FULL REPLACEMENT$12,000–$30,000+Typical national range

For the same average-size kitchen, refacing is often roughly 50–70% less.

Based on typical 2026 national costs for an approximately 150-square-foot kitchen with roughly 30 cabinets. Refacing commonly ranges from $4,000–$10,000. These figures are for comparison only—not a quote from Online Circular Economy. Actual project pricing depends on measurements, materials, condition, and scope.

Renew a worn bathtub without the demolition.

  • Refresh the existing fixture instead of removing a usable tub
  • Suitable surfaces are carefully prepared before refinishing

Saving the planet starts with what we keep.

Recycling is more than separating trash into bins. It is choosing not to rip out sound cabinets, not to replace a perfectly usable bathtub just because it looks dated, and not to buy new when a secondhand item can do the job.

Every repair, refresh, resale, and salvage choice keeps useful material out of a landfill—and reduces the demand for another newly manufactured replacement.

Shop the finds.

Different items live on different marketplaces. Use these storefronts to see what is available now—from practical electronics to vintage and quirky secondhand finds.

Meet the founder

Hands-on by experience.

Maggie Lasley, Founder & CEO, brings real renovation experience—not just a list of ideas.

After personally remodeling three of her own houses, including detailed and complex projects, Maggie built Online Circular Economy around the choices she already makes: repair what can be fixed, update what can be refreshed, and find a new home for what someone else can use.

The result is a practical mix of secondhand selling, home services, and salvage-minded cleanouts—all grounded in doing more with what already exists.
